Born in Carrara on April 12, 1972, Michele Monfroni developed his sculptural and artistic foundations by attending his father Luciano's sculpture atelier at a young age. In 1993, he graduated from the "Pietro Tacca" Professional Institute of Marble in Carrara, immediately starting to work in the atelier on the creation of classical and contemporary works.
Subsequently, he developed his own artistic path, rich in existential and expressionistic connotations. Moving away from traditional figuration, he delineates soft curves filled with organic vitality and emblematic forms in which the centrality of the human figure emerges vividly.
The evolution of this personal artistic journey also allows for the experimentation of new communicative languages in which marble, a lithic material, merges with wood in a blending of forms that combine their value, giving life to interpretative representations of reality.
Today, Monfroni's sculpture studio is a point of reference for many contemporary artists from around the world who commission the execution of their works based on sketches or photographs, or who personally create them in the studio, which provides them with workspaces and tools.
