Officina d'Arte Ponte di Ferro, an artists' collective workshop in the field of sculpture since 2006, is a place of experimentation, inclusion, multicultural exchange and development for young artistic talents. Founded by a group of Academy of Fine Arts students in search of studio space, Ponte di Ferro has grown into a unique cultural reality, born from the regeneration of disused industrial premises into art workshops. Today the workshop is home to -- and has hosted -- internationally established artists, professional sculptors, craftspeople and students. In addition to the creation of marble works by its members, the workshop runs sculpture and painting technique workshops, experiential tourism within the marble supply chain, curates contemporary art exhibitions, provides spaces and equipment for supplementary teaching alongside Academy of Fine Arts courses, and promotes artist residencies with the aim of enabling intercultural exchange at a transnational level.
