Giusti Aldo

Aldo Giusti, born in Massa in 1946, is an Italian painter known for his association with the New Figuration movement. His artistic career has been shaped by a long professional experience in the industrial sector, during which he worked as a specialized technician in refinery reactors, traveling to numerous countries including Russia, China, India, Malaysia, Indonesia, Venezuela, the United States, Canada, Algeria, Egypt, and Kuwait.

Despite his professional commitments, Giusti has nurtured a passion for painting since his youth. In the 1980s, he attended the Scuola Libera del Nudo (Free School of Nude Studies) at the Academy of Fine Arts in Carrara, and in 2000 he officially enrolled at the Academy, even though he had already established a solid artistic practice.

His works, often inspired by “relics” collected during his travels, reflect a deep connection between memory and everyday objects. He has exhibited in major international venues, including Arte Fiera Bologna, Tokyo, Brussels (European Parliament building), Vienna, Miami (Italian Consulate and Art Center).

Aldo Giusti currently lives and works in Carrara, in a former convent transformed into an artist’s studio.
