Hi, I'm Viola. I was born on February 13, 2003, under the sign of Aquarius—if that means anything, I'm still trying to figure it out. After attending art high school, I immersed myself in the Academy of Fine Arts in Carrara, where I began experimenting with brushes and materials, exploring the world of art. Beyond painting in all its shades, another great passion of mine is photography. I'm also slowly, and very gently, trying to step into the field of printmaking.
My art is a dialogue between myself and the material. I'm not after technical perfection; I'm drawn to stains, to imperfections that tell stories. Art, for me, is the most intimate form of expression: it’s my naked body, it’s the body of others when I strip them bare through conversation and then try to tell their story in what is called “my art.”
My studio is my bedroom, my refuge. It’s the place where I dream, create, cry, and laugh. It’s where I remember who I am—feet on the ground, even when my head is in the clouds.
